Anti-aging components, including peptides and antioxidants such as vitamins A, E, and C
Moisturising workhorses like hyaluronic acid and glycerin
Ingredients such as licorice and arbutin that help even out skin tone
Light-reflecting mica to give skin a luminous finish
Silicone-based ingredients, such as dimethicone, that help smooth the skin, acting much like a foundation primer does
all of which are aimed at saving time and money. Needless to say this attracted my attention.
I started using the Body Shops BB cream with the purpose of wearing it to the gym. I'm not one for working out with a full face of makeup however I'm not exactly comfortable leaving the house without some armour.
Their product comes out white with tiny pigment filled capsules that burst when applied to the skin. The coverage is light and natural so not suitable if you prefer full coverage however i found it blended well and evened my skin tone nicely, the brightening effects were also lovely. I found the product lovely to wear and it made my skin feel soft and fresh which is not always the case with makeup (even light makeup). While I still like to wear makeup when I go out I've started wearing my BB cream during the week to work with a soft dust of powder over the top and it has definitely saved me time in the morning only having to apply one product.
Before and after wearing Body Shops All-In-One BB cream. Left is makeup free and right wearing BB cream (no other products worn)
